Complaints Policy

BEDOC seeks to improve our services wherever possible. Please do inform us if you have a suggestion as to how we can improve our patient services. Regarding complaints, we hope that most issues can be acted on quick and easily, often at the time they arise and directly with the person concerned. However, please let us know as soon as possible if this is unsuccessful. We ensure that all complaints are reviewed within 3 days. We'd also love to hear from you when if you are pleased with the service. BEDOC will inform the staff involved and share the acknowledgement of good practice across the organisation. Click here to contact us regarding any of the above.

Infection Control

BEDOC aim to keep the satellites clean and tidy. Alcohol hand-rub gel is available throughout the building, nursing staff carry out an annual hand hygiene unit and there are monitoring systems for ensuring that BEDOC equipment is cleaned and that medication and equipment is stored at the right temperature. If you have any concerns about cleanliness or infection control, please report these to our Reception Staff. Patients will be required to wear a face covering when attending their BEDOC Appointment.

Our Chaperoning Policy

Dignity and respect for patients are some of our highest priorities. Therefore, an impartial observer, otherwise known as a chaperone, may be requested by either the clinician or patient during a consultation. The chaperone provided by BEDOC will have the appropriate training to maintain professional boundaries and can reassure and/or raise any concerns on behalf of the patient or clinician. As a patient, you are free to decline or request a chaperone as you deem appropriate. However, the clinician may refuse to undertake an examination if a chaperone is not present.

You’re Safety at our Satellites

BEDOC take the safety and security of staff and patients very seriously. You may find there is a remote door-opening system or doorbell to ring when you visit one of our satellites and this is to prevent improper entry to the buildings we are using. All the satellites have CCTV surveillance and the individual policies can be requested if necessary.

BEDOC operates a Zero Tolerance Policy for patients who are violent or abusive to ourselves, members of our staff or other persons present on the practice premises.

Covid advice

Please do not book a GP appointment or attend your GP Practice if you have symptoms associated with coronavirus including a new continuous cough and a high temperature. You are advised to contact NHS 111 which has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need further medical help and advise you what to do.

Only call 111 direct if you cannot go online or are advised to do so by the online service.
